To design these cards, we very intentionally sought to select the most accessible, impactful and memorable practices that children can easily learn and carry for life. The core practices include breathwork, visualization, positive mindset development, and more. While these practices can be taught, learned, or adapted for any time of day, they are intended to be used during the magical window that presents at bedtime: the most sacred time for us to connect, release, and rest our bodies for our highest potential.
It is our hope that these cards create a sacred portal of connection between you and your children, and build their inner capability to create a life of joy, peace and purpose.
Why focus on bedtime?
There is perhaps no better window than bedtime to introduce, learn, and practice exercises related to inner potential and inner awareness. Bedtime provides a unique opportunity for connection and closeness as we wind down from our days, and it opens the door for one of the most important aspects to support our kids' emotional health and regulation, through providing them the safety and space to process their day. The evening is also one of the best windows to create lasting neural connections in the brain as the subconscious is open and highly receptive.
Research has also shown that mindfulness practices prior to sleep help to promote nervous system regulation and lead to deeper, more restorative sleep in kids. It is truly the perfect time for our brains and bodies to release and reset our systems.
About the Cards
There are 16 cards in the set that include engaging illustrations with mantras, and guided meditations on the back that are intended for parents or caregivers to lead their children on a relaxing journey at bedtime.
The cards include guided practices on how to do deep body relaxation, how to create an affirmation or mantra practice focused on building a growth mindset, how to release thoughts from the mind and emotions from the body, breathwork practices, and much more.
